Two weeks ago, the girls and I had a team huddle. We spoke about our progress as a licensed and approved dog treat business. We discussed our current approved recipes, our upcoming online Grand Opening, and brainstormed ways to spread the word about our business. One idea, was creating Christmas dog treat boxes. We didn’t know how interested or excited others would be about dog treat boxes. We decided to give it a try to gauge enthusiasm.

The girls and I agreed that if we obtained 3 orders, we would deem the campaign a success. We were so excited every time someone preordered. We ended up multiplying our goal and receiving lots of positive feedback! Since we were not sure about interest, we played it safe and only baked enough to fill our preorders.

To our surprise, we were receiving DMs and inquiries on how to order additional treats. Given the timing of the holidays, it was just not feasible for us to create another batch of Christmas dog treat boxes.

I sat the girls down and we came up with another idea for our barkery…

Special Announcement:

Beginning January, we will offer monthly, themed dog treat boxes for our furry friends! We will have a mock treat box prior to taking preorders. This box and treats will be showcased on Facebook live. After, an order form will be placed on our website and Facebook page. The form will accept orders for a few days (probably a week) prior to closing. Once closed, the girls and I will get to work fulfilling the orders. We will then package orders and prepare them for pick up. For customers that cannot pick up, a listing will be created on Etsy allowing for the integration of shipping rates.

While we will showcase the theme and mock treats via a Facebook Live, I am including our tentative list of themes below (subject to change).

January: Puppies in a Winter Wonderland (winter theme)

February: It’s Puppy Love (Valentine’s Day)

March: Choice of Lucky Paws (St. Patrick’s theme) and/or Lit Puppy Bites (Read Across America/Literacy theme)

We are really excited about crafting yummy, healthy, monthly, themed dog treat boxes for all our puppy pals. Be on the look out for the unveiling of January’s box next week! We will post additional details on our Facebook page.
