Our story

In 2022, we lost our beloved maltipoo, Ernie. We rescued him 14 years prior and although he had many quirks about him, Ernie was an incredible dog and a huge part of our family. We all grieved his passing. Our other pup, a bichonpoo named Bella, was just 6 years old. We gave her a lot of love and attention until the days passed and she stopped looking for her pal, Ernie. With time, we noticed a change in her. She seemed to want to sleep more than usual and her barks were no longer joyful little barks.

In October 2023, we decided to get another pup. Bella just seemed a bit lonely, and the house felt as if something was missing. Well, one pup turned into two pups as we picked up not one but TWO mini golden doodles. They were just 8 weeks old. When they arrived, we all thought it to be a wonderful and natural addition. They are very energetic little pups whose little paws and puppy kisses have transformed our household and brought us so much joy!

My daughters wanted to make sure the new pups had a good relationship with our Bella, too. All three are such a big part of our day. We want nothing but the very best for them. This led us to consider baking more than just the typical doggy bone in the Dash Mini Dog Treat Maker. We have expanded our recipe trials to include pupcakes, doggy cakes, chicken jerky, and dehydrated doggy treats and veggies. We began to share our creations with pups in our friends and family circle. Shortly after, we sold a few baggies of treats and full course doggy meals.

Our three little doods are the inspiration behind Paws and Moonlight Barkery.

Our approach

Our treats are baked in small batches and dehydrated to ensure a longer shelf life. We utilize dog friendly ingredients to create simple, healthy, balanced treats that doggies love!
